Clubbing

Rumours abound about a new club opening abound... if you've heard them, you've heard them, if you haven't, then live in hope. I know me for one is getting bored - maybe a nice string of one offs would be a solution but none's forthcoming... except maybe for Shindig at the Fishbowl... but that's not strictly my choice of choons

The Effervescent Mel Palmer steppin' out and doing her own thing with Shindig on the 2 of May along with self confessed cheddarmeisters Clint, John Saunders and Si Oakley having a bash at spinning house while getting wired on Red Bull.

So apparently all those smart drinks have Taurine in them... hence the Bull connection... because Taurine is like bull testosterone or something. I can see it now... thousands of clubbers dying of mad cow disease.

Salmonella Dub play Friday 1 May, at the (yuk, yuk) James Caberet, alongside the Coneheads - a kind of members-of-Shihad spin off band that are meant to be pretty wikkid... (watch for http://shihad.com) dunno about Shhad's other band, Mullet, that does AC/DC covers though...

Speaking of bogan metal, checked out Metallica on Friday.. rock on dude... they kicked ass like no other. even if the Evening Post slated them... sounds like the reviewer was a major geek anyway.

Air

May 30 comes the big one... Omnivore seems to have been postponed (is that how you spell it?) but the repective crews (Yo, G) are pitching in to put on a massive Bypass My Ass (that's no bypass, parents) party... Clearlight should make the place look pretty and hopefully a healthy mix of djs and sonics... there's a good chance it'll be going live online (with a video feed too! yeah! just what I want, eight hours of postage stamps at 5fps).
