Bass Frontiers - Intalex vs Lee
Hold tight for a night of some of the most innovative and fresh DnB you will hear this year.
When & where
With the Wellington massive still laying devastated in the wake of Doc Scott and MC Justiyc a mere 3 weeks ago, Grind wastes no time in providing the Capital with another night of premium international drum and bass pressure. On Friday September 8th Studionine will play host to Marcus Intalex and DJ Lee. Unlike many of the UK DJ's who have felt the BF vibes in 2000, this will be Intalex and Lee's New Zealand debut.
Intalex is currently the name hot on every A-list drum and bass DJ's lips. His latest productions are completely reshaping the face of drum and bass with their injections of soul, funk and groove into a genre many had abandoned because of a lack of these elelments. His tunes are now staple in the crates of Doc Scott, Fabio and Grooverider.
Lee is more the quiet achiever. Having been in the drum and bass scene since day dot he is a vital player behind the scenes. He runs his own recording label, Timeless and also manages Vinyl Distribution, who is responsible for distributing every major drum and bass release. He is renown for his upfront dubplate selection and is in hot demand for gigs throughout Europe and the US.
Tickets are strictly limited and available for $30 from Firm Records, Real Groovy and Flipside. B-Low, Kava, and Sean will provide support. We also welcome back the one like MC Antic for a special one off BF appearance before he returns to Sydney.
You will not experience a finer full spectrum evening of drum and bass anywhere this year.
The gig will be broadcast on the Grind site www.warp9.co.nz/grind (technology permitting)
