Pitch Black Tour

Pitch Black go on a nation wide album release tour with Salmonella DJ Sound System, Shape Shifter and Automatic, 1st - 16th September.

Five months of solid studio slogging has finally given birth to Pitch Black's new born album entitled 'electronomicon' due to hit the shops in the first week of September.

It's been a hectic few months with no let up except the brief live test run at Oonst Oonst Oonst Auckland's 95bFM private function in July, but the boys are more than happy and say they have produced "a total trip" says Mike Hodgson.

"We've upped our production quality on this album. We've learnt so much about music and sound in the last two years, learning to use the best of both old and new equipment and techniques. Its got more tops, more bottoms, its wider, deeper, shinier and funkier!" said Paddy Free.

"There have been lots of moments where we have said 'I can't wait to play this one live'. We cant wait to blow peoples minds".

So to celebrate and spread the new vibe of their latest electronic journey, Michael and Paddy are officially ON TOUR! Ten gigs up and down the country from the 1st September to the 16th will bring guaranteed thumping bass, rhythmic dub grooves and streaming video to your neighbourhood.

Being as passionate about playing live as they are about their studio quality, Pitch Black are taking the very best in PA technology on the road to ensure every town and city gets the wickedest, smooth, bassy dub trip and a full rotating light and multi-screen interactive video show.

And not to forget their dub brothers and musical meisters - three of Salmonella Dub will reconfigure into the Salmonella DJ Soundsystem with Mark and Andrew on turn tables and samples and Tiki Taane as MC Rizla.

Christchurch's current hot live outfit Shape Shifter will be sharing some phat frequencies, live drum and bass like you've never seen. Auckland's DJ Automatic will spin the tunes that weaves the night together.
