It has been confirmed that New Zealand Internet Dance/Pop Duo DNE will have their debut video BeThere played on MTVDANCE , a UK only channel, which is broadcast as a hip add on to the mainstream channel and beams into 2 to 3 million households.

The single has received a reasonable amount of airplay on New Zealand mainstream radio which has bought it a New Zealand on air radio hits rebate for being in the top 10 airplayed kiwi songs for the quarter ending June 2000. (BeThere was released June 6th 2000)

DNE and their Auckland boutique label Deepgrooves are elated with the news, that has nicely topped off the growing interest from Europe, in this totally independant, self managed act, which currently has no connection to a major record company!

Last week they completed work on their second single The Cause (Summer Mix) due for release shortly. As well as licensing BeThere for use on Shortland Street for a 3 week summer season.
The duo live 500 miles apart, both in remote rural locations near Dunedin and Nelson and write their music via the internet, as well as marketing via the net, currently being a virtual act, they have no CD on the market and are only available in an mp3 format at www.mp3.net.nz . Although plans for a CDR release containing dance tracks and video is underway.
