Various - Algorhythm 2

Kog Transmissions, and it's new House music imprint Reliable Recordings, are proud to announce the release of Algorhythm 2, the highly anticipated follow up to last years successfull (reaching number 7 in the NZcompilation charts) New Zealand House music compilation Algorhythm.

The release will be available from your favourite record stores from the 25th of April and includes New Zealand,s biggest names and music producers in House music today including Subware, Greg Churchill, function-F, Jedeye, Tom Ludvigson, P.James, Baitercell and Mark deClive-lowe and also introduces some fine fresh contributors such as epsilon blue, DJ Phully, ReactorMusic, the Kingsland Housing Project, Signer and Cuffy&LeonD amongst others.

Algorhythm 2 is expertly mixed by Subware and DJ Phully and presents a very fluid journey into, what is being touted internationally as, a distinct New Zealand House sound. Apart from the mixed CD the majority of the tracks from Algorhythm 2 will also be available on limited edition 12" vinyl to satisfy the growing DJ market and to encourage more play of New Zealand produced dance music in club environments.

Algorhythm 2 will be the first release between Kog Transmissions and its new House imprint Reliable Recordings. Joost Langeveld, executive producer of last years, Algorhythm, will be acting as label manager and A&R person. Reliable Recordings was conceived to establish a recognisable brand of house music in the Kog catalog, particularly for the overseas market that the diverse Kog Transmissions is currently becoming a part of.

Reliable Recordings and Kog Transmissions main goal is to develop and nurture a distinct New Zealand House sound and to introduce locally produced dance music into markets overseas. Algorhythm 2 is scheduled for Australian release in June this year through Siren Distribution and in-roads are currently being developed in the Japanese, UK and European markets as well.

After last years fine effort in setting high standards of New Zealand House production Algorhythm 2 raises the stakes again and takes it to yet another level.
