Peregrine Winery has been begging for it .... It was chosen as one of the world's most stunning wineries. It is blessed with breath-taking views of the Southern Alps. Peregrine Winery also happens to be a ready made concert venue with a fully grassed amphitheatre. We couldn't resist. We've taken wine-matching to a whole new level by pairing the perfect venue with the perfect line up. Can you imagine a finer way to celebrate summer?
Fat Freddy's Drop.
"DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST LIVE SHOWS I'VE SEEN ON 1 WORLD LIVE, IF NOT THE BEST." BBC1 WORLD LIVE
This is the hi-tech soul that is winning over the world, led by the magnificent voice and heart of Dallas Tamaira. From the backline begins a true reggae skank from Jet Lag Johnson followed by the fingers on keys of Dobie Blaze. Last on the line is the beatmaster MU, fronted by the most booty-shaking horn section in Aotearoa ... Fulla Flash on the Saxophone, Tony Chang on the Trumpet, and Ho Pepa on Lazy Trombone.
AND playing LIVE, OUTDOORS is what they do BEST. This is a special 2 hour long performance of Fat Freddy's Finest.
Hollie Smith & The Illphonics
Another all-star line up of Wellington musicians. Featuring the incomparable Hollie Smith, whose stand out voice has to be heard to be believed. One of the biggest female talents to come out of New Zealand she's previously worked with Fat Freddy's Drop (Hope), Fly My Pretties and Trinity Roots and will shortly release her own Album.
LADI 6 and DJ Parks
Switching from freestyle hip hop MCing to sweet, beautiful melodies LADI 6 is an undisputed talent. She has featured on a swag of albums including Fat Freddys Drop, Shapeshifter, 50Hertz and is the lead singer of Verse 2. She and DJ Parks deliver a magnificent show not to be missed.
Sunshine SoundSystem
Downtown Brown and his brothers in arms. These local connoisseurs of all that is reggae and dub perform the perfect closing set to cap off a day of summer splendour.
Wine & Food
The full range of award winning Peregrine Wines available for purchase throughout the event. Full range of Emerson's traditionally brewed Fine Ales and Beers also available.
