EBB- The flagship performance group from independant label Dental Records Wellington, Aotearoa, New Zealand

Techtonic sound scapes, epic peaks and plateaus, ebbs and flows . Dancefloor electronic movements with gorgeous vox studded in dub, funk and house. A backdrop of swimming surreal animation ensures that this is one of the most live and graphic acts that you could hope to find in Aotearoa.

Ebb features the etheral vocals of Lisa Tomlins, with sound and lightscapes from Dental Record's producers/directors Iain Gordon and Reuben Sutherland.

PRESS RELEASE INFO

EBB is a small unit with a huge sound. Their music delivers you a sonic journey and compounds your retina. It leaves you inspired. This is dance music of an international calibre and an exciting taste of what is yet to come from the Dental Records collective.

As lead vocalist, Lisa Tomlins range is impressive and her soul/disco background shines through. Often the honesty and directness of her lyrics has had many a dancefloor singing along to songs theyve never heard before.

Iain Gordon, the principle arranger of EBBs music, draws on samples taken from his other band bongmaster, (a live jam sound of Wellington blackness). These live loops are resampled and filtered and become the basis for the tracks. Layers of analog synth and digital effects ebb and flow through sparse electronic dub, simple funk and melodic 4 x 4 dancefloor movements ..

Reuben Sutherland is the quintessential soundguy and VJ. He reads the crowd and creates sound echos and light visuals for the music to travel through .. His visual technology spans the decades utlising black and white TV sets, slides and video projection.
