Various - The Gathering CD 2002

An institution in our country's flourishing dance music culture, The Gathering is an annual festival of music, dance, freedom and participation. This year, for the sixth consecutive year, New Zealand's dance community will once again gather at the tip of the South Island to see out the old year and dance in the new. Eight zones of entertainment will cover the entire spectrum of modern dance music, for three nights of good times and great vibes.

As thousands of New Zealand's nicest humans gather again at Cobb Valley to welcome in the new year of 2002, we take the opportunity also to reflect on 2001 - another landmark year in the progression of New Zealand dance music. Aotearoa's electronic music culture continues to grow exponentially, and the past year has seen some of our local scene's finest releases yet. We're pleased to once again profile some of New Zealand's finest music makers - the people who make the music that makes The Gathering.
