Unitone Hi-fi - Boomshot

With 'Boomshot' Unitone Hi-fi really started broadening their stylistic palette, just prior to the trio going their separate ways. 'Wickedness Increased' certainly had more influences than just dub, but here things go all over the shop.

You've got the tweaked dancehall of 'Glass' and 'Wrestling', the more overt hip-hop feel (is that a BDP sample?) of the title track, and the sparse synthetic sounds of 'Hair Farmer' and 'Hammond Cheese Sandwich'.

Still, based on the evidence here the group were keeping it together and the overall impression is of a band bubbling over with different ideas without losing character or focus.
