What is there to say?

The world has shifted on its axis today. I do not think it is time to run and hide but a time to stand up and be counted for what is important. Terrorism is the child of poverty, exclusion, ignorance and simplistic solutions to complex realities. We need to work to create communities, nations and a world where these seeds do not have a fertile soil to grow in. It takes many, many little steps to accumulate to some thing good to improve the quality of life of communities. Failure to do that creates the conditions in which poverty and exclusion and simple solutions thrive. Market capitalism contributes to the gap between rich and poor individuals and nations. Today some of the excluded struck back at the heart of capitalism. Let us hope and pray that the USA does not retaliate in kind and escalate the situation. I am sure that the 'nuke the bastards' lobby is very strong and growing. This is a time for cool heads to prevail.
