There's all manner of shit we could say about Dave Angel, one of the pioneers of British techno, coming to play at ESC. But when it comes down to it, he spun some rekkids... mighty fine, house tinged tracks... we boogied our asses off and eventually went home to collapse in an exhausted but happy state.

The Navigator Zero played one of the best sets I've ever heard him spin... through old Detroit essentials to their modern counterparts, all smoothly welded together in a perfect progression. He provided a talented and professional warm up to Mr. Angel himself...

Earlier on I'd had my doubts about the amount of people at the party, but by about one ay em a good three hundred were packed in upstairs... Escape provided the perfect club environment for Dave's stonking but grooving house techno... lots of open hi-hats on the off beat and lush chordalisms keps us all skanking, especially a skinny and sweaty Clinton Smiley...
