Bringing together all the sounds of the dance spectrum for one night of multi zone mayhem. The party will takeover the Edward St Precinct making use of Subnine, Studionine, the Ninebar, Curve and the Courtyard. Encompassing all styles, this party will bring together some of London and New Zealands finest Drum and Bass, House, 2 Step, Downbeat, Hip Hop and Techno talent.

DIGITAL - Phantom Audio UK
The unstoppable force that is Digital, continually reshaping the sound that is drum and bass. Describing his music as "heavy, dubby, quite melodic. quite spacey, but phat as well." Big dubby basslines and ferocious old school breaks are his trademark, each Digital tune takes you deep into the jungle. His debut appearance in Wellington alongside Storm on January 1st 2001 as part of The New Frontier shook Studionine to it's very foundations. Leaving a serious mark on the Capital heads and a couple of cracked windows. Now almost exactly one year later we welcome him back.
Coming from a heavily reggae influenced upbringing it is clear where many of Digitals ideas are spawned from. Digitals father ran a Sound System for about 30 years, so from a young age he was immersed in dance culture. Mainly focusing on Reggae and Hip Hop until 1991 when Rave culture began to firmly take hold. This was when he hooked up with Danny C and Photek who gave him advice and guidance and helped him set up his studio. Then in 1995 Digital released his first solo tune on Timeless 'Touch Me'. But it was'nt until the groundbreaking 'Spacefunk' that his talents were really showcased, alongside tracks like "Down Under" on Metalheadz that put his name firmly on the map. From there Digital has gone on to record for Moving Shadow, Creative Source, Photek Productions, Reinforced, Hardleaders, Chronic, Renegade Hardware. Then in 1998 he teamed up with longtime friend and producing partner Spirit to form their own Phantom Audio imprint. This was born from the desire to have their own base to work from which had no set musical agenda. The first release was the absolutely seminal 'Phantom Force' and the rest is history....
Now in 2001 and what has been another amazing year for Digital with ground breaking releases on Phantom Audio, Function, Creative Source, CIA, and Reinforced. DJing has also been high on his agenda holding down residencies at Metalheadz in London and travelling through Europe and the States.
MARCUS INTALEX - Soul:r UK
With Marcus Intalex the agenda is simple, deep and funky.
Hailing from Manchester, Marcus has been producing Drum and Bass since the mid - 90's. He produced a few good tunes with production partner S.T. Files before dropping off the scene due to a number of problems. Marcus has gone from strength to strength since the release of 'How You Make Me Feel' on Doc Scott's 31 Records in late '99. Recorded with S.T. Files it was the tune that ressurected the careers of the Manchester duo and catapulted them to the forefront of a scene begging for something with a bit more emotion and soul. It was a stark contrast to the dark and technical sound that was dominating drum and bass at the time.
Now over 2 years later Marcus is one of the most respected producers currently working in the drum and bass scene. He is responsible for what is quite likely to end up as the drum and bass anthem of 2001, that is his remix of Future Cuts 'Midnight' on Wired Recordings.
The drum and bass world is also eagerly awaiting the launch of his new label Soul:r, which is due to drop it's first couple of releases later this year. Including the highly anticipated collaborations with new boy on the block Calibre.
Those who caught Marcus on tour with DJ Lee September last year will no doubt remember it fondly. Deep and Soulful dubplates showcasing his latest productions combined with the latest dancefloor smashers direct from London. We invite you again to witness the man from Manchester laying down his vision of the future of drum and bass.
DJ BAILEY - Metalheadz and Swerve Resident UK
Bailey's passion first and foremost lies in being the best Selecta possible. He lives the life of a 100% DJ with a record collection that goes from early electro on up to the latest release lining his bedroom walls.
Bailey began his fixation with music when hip hop and electro tapes made their way into his grubby 11year-old hands almost 20 years ago. The beats and scratching he heard on those tapes and the break dancing he started seeing around him inspired him to get involved in this new culture circa '82. South London was filled with sound systems back in the day, and Bailey joined one playing house parties, and making tapes. Later he began venturing out to clubs and heard the sounds popular to the late 80's-- Acid House, Detroit Techno, and hardcore. It was the breakbeat element in hardcore that inspired Bailey, and ultimately led him to Drum n' Bass.
Bailey was slowly gaining steam as a DJ by playing local pirate radio stations when a chance meeting with Kemistry and Storm led Storm to bring him on board for one of the first Metalheadz club nights. He is still a resident at Metalheadz, and also at Creative Source's Swerve weekly Drum n' Bass night. Bailey's DJ skills have also been showcased at One Nation, Planet V, Movement, Creamfields, Essential Festival, Deep South at Home, Fabric Live, Dreamscape, Innovation, No-U Turn, and Slamming Vinyl to name a few.
People say Bailey is the only successful Drum n' Bass DJ in the world who has never produced. This reality just goes to show he lacks absolutely nothing in the way of skills when he is behind the decks. He has the capacity to create a sound through sheer mixology to make an impression and stand out from the crowd of Drum n' Bass DJ's out there. His skills have won him what every DJ in the world wants- recognition and most importantly respect.
