The [love] Tattoo Tour

Stephen Allkins is a legend. Sydney's original DJ kingpin, he has been shaping dancefloors with his adventurous sets for 25 years!

A multi-nominee at last year's Australian Dance Music Awards, Allkins was lauded by the industry for his 'Outstanding Contribution to Dance Music'. He has played more Mardi Gras and Sleaze Balls than any other DJ (nine of each), and performed alongside everyone from Frankie Knuckles to Deep Dish.

Allkins' (love) tattoo album (named for the painstaking needlework on his back) charts the course of this lifetime behind the decks - from Moroder-esque disco and electro, to NYC garage and tribal beats, to quirky deep house and stoned dub.

Signed to Ministry of Sound in Australia, (love) tattoo has been released the world over, on labels such as Positiva (UK) and Blanco Y Negro (Spain). The singles 'Drop Some Drums' and 'The Bass Has Got Me Movin' are already classic cuts, featured on Fat Boy Slim's 'Live on Brighton Beach' mix, Pete Tong's 'Essential Selection' and a truckload of compilations.

This year, Allkins toured with the Big Day Out, performed at the massive Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and visited New Zealand for the first time to headline the Hero Party. Now, to celebrate (love) tattoo's local release, the Master-DJ returns with the latest spine-tingling selection from his extensive record collection.

Also starring New Zealand's international drag diva supreme - direct from performances at the Edinburgh Festival and Space in Ibiza!
