The next Fetish Ball is planned for Saturday November 27th, and will again be held at The Civic on Manchester St. This event has become a bit of an institution in NZ as it is the perfect environment for those who wish to dress up, play up, and act up among like minded people. and enjoy quality entertainment whatever you are into.
Being a costume essential party, those attending can rest assured they will not have to worry about being overdressed (or underdressed for that matter) The Fetish Ball has always prided itself on having a wicked atmosphere, awesome DJs, lighting and decor, and live acts and performances that will leave you tingling! People travel from all over New Zealand, as well as overseas for it. At the Ball, you will find people of all ages and from all walks of life.
I have already confirmed some showstopping international live acts for this Ball, those being Lukas Zpira.. French body modification expert ( www.body-art.net ) who will be assisting in the piercing suspension of Nik Fletcher (Illicit HQ Auckland) And Satomi.. Body manipulation and Japanese rope bondage artist ( www.tokyolovedoll.com ) These two will be performing together, and also separately. They have toured the world with their chosen fields, and performed at the infamous Torture Garden (www.torturegarden.com ) As well as these, there will also be a host of local and national acts.
NZPersonals.com will be giving away the prize for the "most sinful costume" The prize being a DVD player and DVD. The nights proceedings will be hosted by the fabulous MC Jessica Christ.
This Ball has the theme "7 Deadly Sins" and will feature not 7, but 8 zones. Each of these zones will have a theme, as well as these zones, there will be photo galleries from previous Balls, an art gallery, a dance floor with local band Murmur and also DJs: OB1 (AK), Gimpgirl (WN) King Al and more.. You will see big screen visuals, live acts all night long, be able to savour the delights within the "gluttony" zone, socialise at the bar, or just sit back and watch.
For those heathens that bunked church as a kid, here are the 7 deadly sins revealed..
Pride:
Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.
Why you do it: Well-meaning elementary school teachers told you to "believe in yourself."
Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be broken on the wheel.
Associated symbols & suchlike: Pride is linked with the horse and the color violet.
Envy:
Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.
Why you do it: Because other people are so much luckier, smarter, more attractive, and better than you.
Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be put in freezing water.
Associated symbols & suchlike: Envy is linked with the dog and the color green.
Gluttony:
Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.
Why you do it: Because you were weaned improperly as an infant.
Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be force-fed rats, toads, and snakes.
Associated symbols & suchlike: Gluttony is linked with the pig and the color orange.
Lust:
Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.
Why you do it: Oh, please.
Your punishment in Hell will be: You'll be smothered in fire and brimstone. Not kisses.

Anger:
Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

- These are an interpretation of the 7 deadly sins taken from http://deadlysins.com*
The 8th area will be run by Uncommon Bonds ( www.uncommonbonds.org.nz ), and takes the form of "Purgatory" For those with an interest in theology, the Roman Catholic church teaches that almost everyone who is not sent to hell at death will go to this place and/or state. They will be purified through punishment for an interval of time before going to heaven.
There will be a coat and bag check in the venue for those wanting to "cover up" on the journey to and from the venue, there will be a licensed bar as well as food available..Please, no BYO alcohol.
