The Black Room

The Black Room returns to the Watkins bar for the first instalment of a new monthly format.

The first Saturday of each month will see S-ence present the cream of local & national techno talent in the Watkin's exquisite lounge basement.

Not too hard, not to soft, just right.

Deep grooves & driving journeys into the land of club techno through a custom Bose rig and bathed in laser light.

This month sees a rare tech set from Leon D, he promises to head to the very back of his grates to select all those tech grooves which would have been rarely heard in his sets in more house bound clubs and bars. Leon is also finally following his team mate Cuff to Auckland so this will be one of the last opportunities to see him at local rates.

Filter, one of our regular set technicians will also be leaving our shores shortly so we have moved him into the feature slot for this month so that all can enjoy a full strength set from him.

And again tail-end Charlie for this month will be me Coda, taking the proceedings through to close with the kind of stuff you really like.
