THE UPBEATS
In the wake of such a prolific impact on the worldwide drum & bass scene, The Upbeats continue to push the boundaries. Rhythm & Vines favourites over the years, The Upbeats famously produced remixes for Shapeshifter, Tiki Taane, Minuit and international EDM legends like Noisia. Perennially packed with energy and backed up with genuine emotion and an infinite capacity to inject a taste of something different into their music, The Upbeats' albums drag you deep into their own personal world of drum & bass. Their fourth album "Primitive Technique" is out now. After a 20-date tour of the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA, The Upbeats will be bringing Primitive Technique to Gisborne! The Upbeats are Terror Snake and Downie Wolf (aka Jeremy Glenn and Dylan Jones).

HAKI
Haki (Jack Castle) is a singer/songwriter from the beautiful East Coast of Aotearoa. Jack launched onto the NZ music scene in 2010 as one of the lead vocalists in Blackbird. His explosive energy brought a new dimension to the band, and his song "Free Up Your Love" quickly became one of Blackbird's most popular live numbers. Recently back from two years working the superyacht industry throughout the Mediteranean, Europe and the USA, Haki has returned to the motherland to launch his solo career in Aotearoa. Since the release of his EP "Fresh", Haki has played some prestigious events in Auckland, including the Sofar series and the NZ Music Month series at Freeman & Grey. Haki's mana is strong. His compositions draw inspiration from reggae, with awesome singalong lyrics. Haki's engaging live solo performance features the singer accompanying himself on guitar and keyboard. Special guest Nego Beto on percussion.

TOMMY GEE
Tauranga native Tommy Gee has been rocking dancefloors since the days of the legendary Buddha Lounge, where he retained a longstanding residency. He made his mark at Illuminati Superclub and countless north island venues as the official Jagermeister DJ, as well as gracing the stages of BW Camping Festival. His vinyl scratching skills and hefty mix of hip-hop and ol' skool fused with the latest hits and trends in electro-house fuel a pumping d-floor at every gig. Gisborne is stoked to welcome Tommy Gee to the PBC for the first time.
