Your New Years Day Recovery Session
Set in the beautiful Waiheke Island lies Rangihoua Estate, an award winning olive grove. Talk Later asked their friends George FM & Red Energy whether it would be a good idea to create a boutique sunset event on New Year’s Day at such a unique outdoor venue, and the answer was an undeniable yes!
Subsequently, The Kick On was born.
The Kick On will feature a broad range of music throughout the day, from tasteful house by local favourite Tim Richards, through to being schooled by original hip-hop pioneer DJ Premier. DJ Spell, who has recently came 2nd in the world DMC champs, will treat the crowd to one of his incredibly well skilled turntable sets. The day will also see a performance from duo Sweet Mix Kids fresh off their latest single release, as well as DJ sets from other George FM favourites including Ultan Burke & Zeisha Fremaux.
Relax, recuperate and celebrate the New Years Day with local wines, cold beer, artisan food stalls and a stellar line up ranging from world class hip hop through to NZ's finest house DJ's:
