Summer Soulstice

Summer is finally here and what better way to celebrate than with a big outdoor party! The crew from Massive have been busy organising Summer Soulstice, the fifth in the Soulstice series with the last at Godley Head being a sell-out.

Summer Soulstice 2000 will feature 24 hours of live and pre-recorded music and performance, with full lights, visuals, and laser show in four different areas, all set at the pristine Orton Bradley Park, which is just before Diamond Harbour.

Tickets $35 from Galaxy, CD Store (Colombo St.), Cosmic Cnr., Bunker Records and Euphoria.

Massive Productions is proud to present three internationally acclaimed DJ's and producers for this years Summer Soulstice. Joining them will be our best DJ talents mixing up lucious house, break beats, happy hardcore, trance and everything in between. They will be complimented by Confusious playinghis organic grooves live, Paddy Free from Pitch Black playing live and the band Barnard's Star playing their ambient flows in the morning.

Captain Tinrib set sail from England on a world tour in mid November and is coming to join us. He will be performing a live show which is famous across the world. His live appearances at Europe's largest dance festival, Dance Valley, helped to make hardhouse the biggest thing in Holland since tulips. His hour-long set of pure Tinrib insanity will take your breath away & never fails to leave the crowds screaming for more.

The Captain is involved at every level of the Tinrib label; he produces,(solo or collaboratively), engineers and masters almost all of the tracks released, nurturing a distinctive style that is instantly recognisable and often imitated. A lot of thought and preparation goes into the feel of the live set when The Captain hits the road, the days prior to a gig are spent painstakingly working out a track order that will take his audience on an aural journey of the Tinrib sound. Special one-off live mixes are created so that each performance is special and unique and there are always new tracks being given their first airing which definitely seems to be appreciated judging by the rapturous reaction of the crowd. What starts out as funky and housey always ends in a manic, driving frenzy where the crowd goes wild and is left begging for more. Hard house is THE dance music style of the moment in the UK and Tinrib Recordings is one of the most established and prolific labels on the scene. Their distinctive brand of hard house has been often copied, but rarely bettered. Webpage "Tinrib.com".

Tinrib's first mate Max Alien Thing, (of Alien and Human Trax fame), will be accompanying The Captain on this tour promoting Tinrib's brand new CD which he mixed, Fish Tales Vol.4 'Alien Lobster Abduction'.

So you get not 1 but 2 of the best hard house maestros that the UK dance scene have to offer coming to Summer Soulstice on December 16th.
