Studionine Second Birthday Sessions
Grind brings together 2 of Aotearoa's finest to pay respect to Studionine on it's birthday.
When & where
Wellington
October 1998 saw the opening of a new chapter in Wellington dance culture, Studionine, a club that catered for the maturing tastes of the Capital's party people. Starting out with a strict House music policy it became clear to survive they would have to diversify.
In March 1999 Bass Frontiers was launched at Studionine by Grind in an attempt to bring together the Capitals fragmented drum and bass scene. The line up of guests that have graced the decks at Bass Frontiers is impressive to say the least. Ranging from Christchurch and Auckland's finest such as Presha, Pots, Medelin, 48sonic, Nick D, Motion, B-Line, Wizard, D-Tour and Mosus. To the cream of the international drum and bass scene with the likes of Grooverider, Storm, Doc Scott, Dillinja, Lemon D, Trace, Krust, Suv, Marcus Intalex, DJ Lee, Ed Rush, Optical, Konflict, Andy C, and Bad Company. Throughout this time Bass Frontiers has remained tightly aligned with Studionine and the bond still holds strong today.
Now on the Second birthday of one of New Zealand's finest clubs we bring together 2 of New Zealand's finest Drum and Bass DJ's, Pots from Point Blank in Christchurch and Presha from Subtronix in Auckland. Alongside BF residents Sean and B.Low they will provide an evening of the freshest and most upfront breakbeat music available. Join us as we say Happy Birthday Studionine.
