Rockers HiFi: Dex'n'fx

Rockers Hi Fi :: dex 'n' fx :: In Dub We Trust

When I found out Rockers Hi Fi were arriving on our windy shores, I remembered back to those wonderful summery days of first listening to their CD, Overproof. Transmission Central rang through my ears, as did the rest of their tunes - something somewhat reminiscint of a less melancholy Finley Quaye. The self interogating vibe of it's last track, Overproof let its vibe rush through my body once again. RHF's music opened a new musical genre for me. Not quite house; not quite dub; the best of both.

If you haven't heard Rockers Hi Fi, drop what your doing and go score yo'self a CD so you can have endorphins instead of those alien chemicals rush through those tired veins of yours! Maybe you can enrage the flatmates with the 'repeat' button like I did :)

This 'strictly limited capacity' event will be a dual zone wide screen dub affair at Studionine with support from The Nomad, and DJs Koa, Mu, Lemon, Grasshopper and Downtown Brown.

Presales $35 from Real Groovey and Flipside.
