Pure & Unified

Fresh sounds of Electro Beat and Acoustic percussionist Nick Gaffaney and master DJ Manuel Bundy Live and direct at Khuja on Sunday 14 May.

After arriving in Auckland eight months ago from two years touring and recording in Canada, The Netherlands and Australia, Nick has performed and recorded with artists such as The Nomad, King Kapisi, Jan Hellreigal, Nathan Haines, Kog Transmissions, The New Loungehead, FutureJazzer Mark de Clive-Lowe's 'Six Degrees' project, German based drum n bass stylists 'Megashira' as well as leading his own electric and acoustic groups.

A well travelled and studied musician, Nick is melding his love of Improvisation, Latinesque Percussion and Beats together to create a sound uniquely his own, but still definitely a club flavour.

A musician of the highest level Manuel is widely regarded both in New Zealand and overseas as one of the most musical and soulful DJs performing today. His collaborations with Nathan Haines are part of New Zealand's Jazz History and through live performances with The New Loungehead and Mark de Clive-Lowe he is re-affirming his place as New Zealands premiere DJ improviser.

Pure and Unified is a philosophy of combination. Latin/Jazz House and breakbeat mixed with the sounds of Live Electro and Acoustic beats.

Take the trip...inside the minds of the beatmakers and through the soul of the music. Dance..........

Pure & Unified. Nick Gaffaney & Manuel Bundy. Latin/Jazz House, Electro Beat and Improvisation. A groove based on experience combined with fresh thought............. a night not to be missed
