One of the poineers of new zealand D'n'b is making a return to the town where it all began for him. DJ Riddle first caught the mixing bug in christchurch at the age of 16,mixing hiphop until hearing jungle/dnb, then he was hooked. His first gigs were in 92,when the scence was first starting out and mixing at wharehouse parties and other underground venues. 93 was when riddle fisrt made the move to Auckland. He entered the scence almost immediately, playing legendary oldskool parties such as "Drum and basswise" and "Jungle soundclash".He continued to play local and national gigs for various promoters and in 96 played the first subtronix gig.Soon after Nz's first weekly dnb event "The breaks" was launched, where Riddle was resident for its entire 3 years of running. Riddle has supported almost every international Dnb artist to hit our shores and many more than once.....which truthfully shows he is one of Nz's finest.
This event will span every subgenre of the sound, from the hardest of the hard to the most lucious of the liquid funk , with riddle moving through them all. This is a night not to be missed with one of nzs finest at work.
