OPTIV & BTK (UK, Brazil)
[VIrus, Renegade Hardware, Blackout, Dutty Audio, Playerz, Redlight, C4C, Frequency, Shogun, Subtitles & more]
Over the two last years, the duo known as Optiv & BTK have dominated the drum & bass scene with their unrelenting output of high-quality, strictly-for-the-dance-floor releases and worldwide DJ sets. Both producers have had a long history of releases in the scene and between them have appeared on an impressive list of revered labels like Renegade Hardware, Subtitles Music, Virus, and many more.
Optiv from the UK and BTK from Brazil joined forces in their new home town of Bern in Switzerland after meeting up at various drum & bass events in the area. Once inside the studio, the collaborative vibe and rapid results made it clear that consequences would never be the same.
Since then the duo have had great success with tracks like Backlash and Kingpin on Virus Recordings, Inception and Over The Edge EP on Renegade Hardware, Let It Hit ‘Em and Zero Hour on Frequency Recordings and a host of other tunes.
Their debut album on Virus Recordings stormed the charts in summer 2012 to heave them on to the producers A-list. Following up in 2013 with their "Drop the Funk EP" on Playerz, "Bad Attitude EP" on Blackout and further releases on Renegade Hardware, Dutty Audio, Redlight & C4C not to mention a hectic touring schedule selling out shows from Europe to South America, Australia & NZ. Optiv & BTK have firmly cemented their position at the top of drum & bass!
