One Love 2001

Radio Active 89FM celebrates both Bob Marley's birthday and Aotearoa's Waitangi Day in that sublime kiwi-jamaican style...

Featuring Wellington's finest dub-meisters; Active's Homebass Crew; Dub Connection (warmed up for the imminent release of their CreativeNZ supported single "All the Goodness"); DJ Lemon - core selector of the renowned Roots Foundation; alongside the contagious grooves of TrinityRoots... Radio Active's One Love 2001 will again provide the essential rhythm which embodies the vibes of a Wellington summer.

One Love 2000 - Mo' Dub in the Sun pulled in over 1000 punters at Freyberg Beach to dance circles on the sand. This year, the beautiful bass grooves will resonate within the Dell at the Wellington Botanic Gardens. Adjacent to the Rose Gardens, the tall native surrounds embrace the lushness of the grassfloor, producing an ideal setting for Radio Active 89FM's induced dancing, dub and fun... in the sun. One Love! Dub in the Dell on Waitangi Day. A celebration of living the life in Aotearoa - come and groove under the influence of heartfelt roots music!
