MOBY - NZ TOUR

The Frontier Touring Company is ecstatic to announce the return of the vegan, technopunk, music maverick MOBY for a national run of shows in March 2003.

Well known for his musical diversity, the new live show could be described as part rave, part stadium rock. With a state of the art lighting setup, a full string section and his ongoing band line up of DJ, drums, bass and backup vocalist, the man himself will play guitar in a set that will include tracks from the current album '18', highlights from 'PLAY', old favourites like 1000, Go and the James Bond Theme and possibly even a cover or two. One thing is for sure, fans will walk away with much more than they bargained for!

Moby's last album 'PLAY' was released in 1999 and sold in excess of 10 million copies worldwide. 'PLAY' went 7x Platinum and topped the New Zealand albums chart. 'PLAY' has achieved multi Platinum sales in more than 26 countries and sold over 3 million singles worldwide. Grammy nominations ensued and continued for three years running.

Moby's latest album '18' was released this year and debuted at #1 on the New Zealand albums chart and reached Platinum sales soon after its release. '18' has seen MOBY collect 2 Billboard Music Awards, one for Electronic Album of The Year and the other for Electronic Albums Artist of the Year. The first single to be lifted from '18' titled 'We Are All Made of Stars' was immediately added to commercial rock, pop, a/c and alternate radio playlists. The video for the track went on to win the Best Cinematography In a Video award at this year's MTV Music Awards.
