15 fresh tracks, 9 NZ Short Films, 8 Music Videos & Motion Graphics
LOOP Recordings Aot(ear)oa is proud to present the release of LOOP Select 007: We Are Here. This is the latest installment in a series of creative box sets featuring a fine selection of the most progressive new audio-visual content from Aotearoa New Zealand, and around the world. Following the success of last years LOOP Select 006: Kono achieving Gold status, the call was put out again for creative submissions. LOOP was flooded with inspiring work from all over New Zealand and after careful consideration a selection of gems were chosen for We Are Here. LOOP has again taken on the challenge of doing what few others dare to do as it blurs the boundaries of various artistic mediums. LOOP once again provides artists with an international platform to present their work in a multimedia environment.
The compilation CD contains 15 sizzling tracks from old school cruisers to new school bruisers. Many of the featured tracks are previously unreleased. Tracks featured are from Verse 2, Breaks Co-Op, P-Bass Expressway / Downtown Brown, Eru Dangerspiel (Riki Gooch), Tubbs, Ben Mono, Skallander and Boozoo Bajou feat. Joe Dukie.
The DVD contains some of New Zealand's most acclaimed short films and music videos including the brand-new Recloose single Dust feat. Jo Dukie and Ebb's award winning video "Be A Man" directed by Reuben Sutherland. For an extra special treat we have included a mini documentary exploring the art of the moko and two experimental moving image pieces round off the sensory indulgence.
The 120 page book features a diverse showcase of influential local and international artists, institutes, designers and photographers. LOOP have been allowed to include photographic stills provided from the World Press Photo Exhibition to sit along side work from Aaron Bec, Misery, Greg Semu, Buggy G, Nick McFarlane, and Serena Stevenson.
This limited edition box set of CD, DVD and book will be on sale for $49.95(NZD) to the public through record stores and magazine retailers from Tuesday September 13th 2005.
LOOP Select 007: We Are Here is a must-have for anyone interested in the progression of today's creative culture.
