Covering all the bases in style - expect the crew to play it all wayz! Pitching it up and playing it smooth with the soundz of Dub, Roots Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Soul & Funk, Latin, Breaks & 2-Step. Stay tuned to Radio Active 89FM for giveaways or pay a reasonable concession at the door.
Loaded Bass features special guest DJ Ruffian (Ak), the originator of Dubwise Soundsystem and recently touring NZ with DJ Grasshopper & Imon Star on Coruba's Rum & Bass Soundsytem.
Expect a mash-up of dancehall riddims and bad ass 2-step breaks thrown in the mix with Some Roots Reggae provided by seasoned selector Topknot, fresh tripped hop and broken beat selections from Function, heavy weight dubs and skanky-ska from the Grasshopper inniz dub helicopta, with Puppy on the cut - dropping the beats - and selecting the treatz. MC Imon Star aka Merc 108 aka Old Mecha The Relic is Captain of the joint - making sure you get your funky ass up and party.
