Tupelo is the only place to be on Friday 28 July for the third instalment of Ghetto Red Hot , a night of blazing dancehall and hip-hop reggae, celebrating Jamaican dancehall music's connection with its American descendent , hip-hop.

This time featuring special guest Spikey Tee - a veteran of the reggae, dancehall and jungle scenes - Spikey originally hails from the UK, where he worked with some of the best artists in the soundsystem world. He now tours around the world and is based in Sydney, Australia.

Spikey will be familiar to those in the capital from his DJ sets a few years ago, and more recently when he toured as a vocalist with Sola Rosa.

The night also features three of the dons of the Wellington scene - Art Official, Rhys B and Kerb - long-time players of the best hip-hop, dancehall and reggae selections in town.

The night kicks off at 10pm and will be one not to be missed, so make sure you get down there nice and early!

A free Ghetto Red Hot CD mix will also go to the first 50 people through the door.

Big ups to The Package, Tupelo, Newtown Sound and Jewel of Nepal.
