Fat Freddy's Drop

Fat Freddy's Drop make their annual pilgrimage to the Leigh Sawmill this Labour Weekend for a two night Soul Presentation.

Let the purveyors of skanking urban Pacific roots, dub and electronica wash over you at the beautiful Leigh Sawmill, north of Auckland. No two Freddy's gigs are ever the same, as the bros jam each song into a supernova of soul, goodness and Hope.

Quotable Quote re: 10" Hope remix by NYC producers 3 Generations Walking aka MKL & Soy Sos

'I will start of by saying, with everything going on in this world of ours, is it any wonder myself and like minded people will think twice about bringing children into this world but as the lyrics suggest on this absolute gem of a 10", 'music will hold us together'. Mr Bush, if you're reading this take heed. Fat Freddy's Drop are a class act and with 3Generations Walking's Michael Kenneth Lopez and Herman 'Soy Sos' Pearl on remix duties, this slab of vinyl will not be leaving my box for quite a while if ever, as the message is so true and the production 1st class. A future classic and a track that would have been championed at NYC's Body and Soul no doubt.' 5/5 Pathaan (DJ magazine)
