Essence

The return of the Matrix Crew is set for something a little different. Those of you who we're lucky enough to attend the last party, will have "some" idea of what to expect.

Essence will see the return of Matrix Crew residents DJ Gusto, Simplex and Stoffa, along with Phoenix resident AndyB. However, Essence will see Fevah NZ resident, Tony K making his LIVE debut.

Tony will be playing and producing his choons LIVE (that's right, choons that have not been pressed to vinyl yet). This will be a unique opportunity to see what Tony has spent the last few months developing.

Tony's set @ Essence will be an energetic journey that travels from Euro-Trance to his own flavour of Hard-House.

Originally from South Africa, Tony K discovered his passion for dance music in London in early 1996. Where he soon became one of the most popular DJ's in the north-west London houseparty scene. Tony was re-owned for his energetic enthusiasm behind the decks and his ability to keep on spinning to the bitter end.

For the next 3 years Tony played at the well received Thames River boat parties, was a guest at Pickle and held residencies at Techtonic and Pendragon. He also played at numerous one-off parties.

In 1998 Tony took his "sound" back to South Africa, where he actively promoted, and played for Tektra. While holding a residency at Bedlam, in Durban.

For the last year Tony K has played predominately in the Wellington dance scene, whose energy has been inspiring. Constantly striving to progress, Tony K is currently focused on producing new tunes and creating live sets for the dancefloor.
