When DJ Krush visited NZ for the first time in 2003 it was a roadblock, sell-out affair. Those lucky enough to gain entry and smart enough to buy advance tickets, were treated to a turntable display that was quite simply un-paralleled.
Put simply he's a rhythmic ronin, rejecting those tired old breaks and scratches and replacing them with Far Eastern atmospherics that range from the temple of tranquility tones to bullet train'n'bass. It's little wonder that he is Japans leading musical ambassador with his bouncing bonsai beats, turntabilistic teppenyaki and matchless musical miso.
