Possibly the most influential DJ /Producer in the history of drum and bass, Hype has witnessed every stage and development of the scene from the hardcore jungle days to the new skool Drum and bass we hear today.
DJ Hype's last visit here in 2002 was a long awaited celebration of good time Drum N Bass with lashings of the freshest from all the scene's top producers mixed seamlessly and topped off with Hype's trademark scratch antics. Anyone who was lucky enough to attend one of those nights will attest to the power of this mans ability to keep a crowd on a constant high while rolling a roller coaster of musical influences within the drum n bass spectrum. And as if that wasn't enough, one of the UK's top MC's, a bonafide underground hero, Rage will be accompanying Hype on the microphone. True Playaz style is about to run wild across New Zealand once again. Don't miss this heavyweight combination in session for 2004!
