Wellingtons premier multigenre night

BREAK IT UP - NOM’S inaugural multi-genre party

Saturday July 3rd, San Francisco Bathhouse, 11pm-late

No Ordinary Moment and Empathy Digital are proud to present the beginning of a new gigging age. BREAK IT UP will prove to be Wellington’s ultimate multi-genre experience. When you combine a stellar music line up with amazing visuals thanks to UJI and a lighting rig that can’t be beat you know you’ve got one hell of an excuse to party.

Imagine a precisely blended concoction of tight irresistible grooves, chunk fueled bouncy beats, luscious brooding soundscapes, and a bowl of scrumptious glitch. Welcome to the musical world of Opiuo. A self confessed music addict with a light hearted approach to life and art. Opiuo is at his best whilst hiding from the world, creating fun fueled music. Influences coming from everything, from life changing experiences, to mere cups of tea. Incorporating sounds as varied as jazz, reggae, funk, rock, psychedelia, and down right chunky goodness. Originally from New Zealand, he now resides in Melbourne, where he has built an international reputation for his party fueling creations, and has been invited to play LIVE at major festivals and clubs all over Australasia. His music, now highly sought after, is rocking dance floors in every corner of the globe. With chart topping releases on American, European, and Australian labels, and his debut album due very soon, it's all go!!! Stand up, shake down, and get ready for a right ol stomp!

Sick Cycle, or Michael West and Levon Maeder, are engineers of mechanical bass orientated noise. Primarily creating excessively heavy glitchy dubstep and headache inducing drum and bass, Sick Cycle precisely twist every sound in their own unique way.

Releases on Rottun Recordings pay testament to the sheer force behind their sound. Forthcoming releases on Rottun, along with tracks on new labels Dubsaw and Section 8, are set to accelerate the destruction and push the movement of New Zealands sinister dubstep side.

Queenstown’s premier DnB export will make sure to take this multi genre mayhem to the next level.
